Verstappen charges to Belgian GP win as Red Bull bag 1-2 finish
Spa-Francorchamps          [30 JULY 2023 ]

Max Verstappen recovered from a five-place gearbox penalty to claim his eighth successive victory in Sunday’s Belgian Grand Prix, with team mate Sergio Perez adding to the celebrations for Red Bull as he completed a one-two result.

Verstappen gradually picked off his rivals across a tense 44-lap encounter at Spa-Francorchamps, taking P1 after Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc had started the race on pole. The championship leader then kept his car on the track during a mid-race shower that threatened to – but did not quite force – a move from slick tyres to intermediates.

Perez also worked his way past Leclerc to come home in the runner-up spot, crossing the line some 20 seconds behind Verstappen and giving Red Bull their first perfect result since the Miami Grand Prix back in May.

Verstappen dominates Hungarian GP to give Red Bull a record 12th successive win
Hungaroring          [23 July 2023]

Max Verstappen stormed to victory over Lando Norris and Sergio Perez with another commanding performance in the Hungarian Grand Prix, giving the reigning double world champion his seventh straight triumph and the Red Bull their 12th in a row – beating McLaren’s long-standing record.

Verstappen passed pole-sitting Mercedes rival Lewis Hamilton at the start before settling into the lead and pulling clear of the chasing pack with aplomb, chalking up a lights-to-flag win that puts further distance between himself and team mate Perez in the drivers’ standings.

It means Red Bull continue their 100% winning run for the 2023 season, while setting a new outright milestone in terms of successive race wins, with their staggering tally now one clear of the 11 McLaren achieved with Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost during the 1988 campaign.

Verstappen wins at Silverstone as Norris holds off Hamilton for second
Silverstone          [9 July 2023]

Max Verstappen eased to a 99-point lead in this year's Formula One championship with victory at the British Grand Prix, as Lando Norris held off fellow Briton Lewis Hamilton for second place on home turf.

The Red Bull driver held a 3.8-second lead over Norris at the chequered flag, with Hamilton a further 2.9s off in third.

The victory was Red Bull's 11th in a row, matching the record set by the dominant McLaren team in 1988, and means Verstappen could finish in second place at all the remaining races and still secure the title. Teammate Sergio Perez, who remains his closest title rival, finished sixth at Silverstone.

Twelve post-race penalties mix up Austrian GP result
Spielberg          [2 July 2023]

Nearly five hours after the chequered flag, the FIA confirmed the final result of the Austrian Grand Prix after 12 additional post-race penalties were issued for track-limits violations.

Eight drivers were hit with time penalties -- some multiple times -- meaning the race result had to be reissued to reflect the changes in position.

However, the top three were not affected, meaning Max Verstappen retained his seventh victory of the season ahead of Charles Leclerc in second and Sergio Perez in third.
