Hamilton cruises to Belgian GP win, Ferraris finish 13th and 14th
Spa-Francorchamps          [30 August 2020]

Lewis Hamilton took his 89th career win and his sixth victory of 2020 following a dominant performance at Sunday's Belgian Grand Prix.

Hamilton led from lights to flag, comfortably outperforming his Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas, who finished second. The victory saw Hamilton extend his championship lead over Max Verstappen to 48 points as the Red Bull driver finished third.

Although the result never looked in doubt, a big accident involving Antonio Giovinazzi and George Russell on lap 10 resulted in a Safety Car period. That prompted pit stops for the majority of the field and set up a long second stint to the flag. But as a number of drivers struggled to keep life in their tyres, Hamilton managed his race to perfection and crossed the line over eight seconds clear of Bottas.

Portugal’s pioneer: Oliveira stuns in Styria
Styria, 23 August 2020

Red Bull KTM Tech 3 star wins the 900th premier class race as Oliveira, Miller and Pol Espargaro take it to the final corner.

What. A. Race. In a dramatic red-flagged BMW M Grand Prix of Styria, Miguel Oliveira (Red Bull KTM Tech 3) got the better of Jack Miller (Pramac Racing) and Pol Espargaro (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) at the famous final corner, on the final lap, to win his first MotoGP™ race in the 900th premier class contest. A stunning victory for Oliveira who hands Portugal and Tech 3 their first premier class wins, in his 150th Grand Prix.

Before the start of the initial race, dark clouds were starting to creep over the Styrian mountains to raise the pulsating tension further. A flag-to-flag race was becoming an ever-increasing possibility, but weather forecasts were saying there shouldn’t be any heavy downpours for the race.

Undaunted: Dovizioso wins dramatic Austrian Grand Prix
Spielberg, 16 August 2020

Ducati keep up their 100% Red Bull Ring record in a red-flagged race thanks to Dovizioso, Quartararo and Viñales outside the top seven.

Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team) kept Ducati’s 100% Red Bull Ring record on Sunday at the myWorld Austrian Grand Prix, but that doesn’t even tell half the story. After a huge crash involving Johann Zarco (Esponsorama Racing) and Franco Morbidelli (Petronas Yamaha SRT) that brought out the red flags on Lap 9, the Championship tale took another crazy twist in a Spielberg epic.

Joan Mir (Team Suzuki Ecstar) and Jack Miller (Pramac Racing) completed the podium, with Fabio Quartararo (Petronas Yamaha SRT) and Maverick Viñales (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) encountering problems that saw them finishing outside the top seven.

Dominant Hamilton eases to fifth Spanish GP win as Verstappen splits Mercedes

Catalunya          [16 August 2020]

Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton executed a near-perfect race at the Spanish Grand Prix, leading every lap from pole to record his fifth Spanish Grand Prix win, and his fourth victory of the season, with Red Bull’s Max Verstappen coming home ahead of the sister Mercedes of Valtteri Bottas.

The seeds of Hamilton’s victory were sown by a strong start for him, as Bottas dropped from P2 to P4 off the line, before eventually recovering to third, while Verstappen jumped to second at the getaway, but ultimately wasn’t able to make any in-roads into Hamilton’s lead, as he finished 24s adrift.

Binder and KTM: on top of the MotoGP™ world in Brno
Brno, 9 August 2020

The South African stole the show to hand him and KTM their first MotoGP™ win in a remarkable race, Morbidelli and Zarco complete the podium.

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing has done it. Brad Binder has done it. In an unearthly unpredictable MotoGP™ race at the Monster Energy Czech Republic Grand Prix, the South African – in just his third premier class race – stormed to an emotional first win to become the first rookie since Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) to win in MotoGP™.

Binder won by over five seconds to lead Franco Morbidelli (Petronas Yamaha SRT) over the line as the Italian picks up his first MotoGP™ rostrum, with polesitter Johann Zarco (Esponsorama Racing) – despite taking a long lap penalty for an incident with Pol Espargaro (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) – taking a memorable podium. Wow, just wow.

Hamilton limps to seventh British Grand Prix victory after late tyre drama
Silverstone          [2 August 2020]

An incredible final few laps of the 2020 British Grand Prix saw Lewis Hamilton claim the seventh and possibly most dramatic Silverstone win of his career, despite his left-front tyre letting go with half a lap still to go.

Hamilton and team mate Valtteri Bottas had been formation flying for 50 of the 52 laps at Silverstone until tyre drama struck. Second-placed man Bottas was the first to suffer as his tyre deflated on Lap 50, costing him second place, before on the very last lap, Hamilton suffered his own issue.

However, with Max Verstappen having opted to pit a few laps from the end to try and claim fastest lap, Hamilton had enough time in hand to just cross the line first, five seconds ahead of Verstappen and the third placed Ferrari of Charles Leclerc.
