Lewis Hamilton eases to French GP win.
Le Castellet          [24 June 2018]

Lewis Hamilton scored a comfortable victory at the French Grand Prix as his championship rival Sebastian Vettel clashed with Valtteri Bottas at Turn 1 and finished fifth.

Hamilton's lead never looked under threat and the result saw him retake the lead in the championship by 14 points. Vettel, who was penalised five seconds for hitting Bottas at the start, dropped to the back of the field with front wing damage on lap one before slicing his way back through the field to a fifth-place finish.

Max Verstappen finished in second place, seven seconds off Hamilton, but never challenged the Mercedes despite being the first of the front runners to pit. Teammate Daniel Ricciardo had been in the running for third but lost a place to Kimi Räikkonen on lap 47 as the Ferrari driver charged back through the field from sixth on the grid using a faster strategy.

Sebastian Vettel reclaims championship lead with dominant Canada win.
Montreal          [10 June 2018]

Sebastian Vettel retook the lead of the drivers' championship after winning the Canadian Grand Prix ahead of Valtteri Bottas and Max Verstappen.

Former championship leader Lewis Hamilton had a race to forget, losing a place from his starting position and finishing fifth behind Daniel Ricciardo. Hamilton, who was forced to make an earlier-than-scheduled pit stop due to an overheating engine, now trails Vettel by a single point with a third of the season complete.

Bottas, who shadowed Vettel throughout the race, closed to within 3.5s of the Ferrari with 15 laps remaining, but undid all his hard work with a mistake at Turn 1 while attempting to lap the Renault of Carlos Sainz. The mistake saw him take to the grass on the exit of the corner and one lap later Vettel put an end to any hope of a Mercedes resurgence with a new fastest lap of the race, stretching his advantage to 7.0s over Bottas.

Lorenzo’s land: Mugello hosts the return of a king.
Mugello, 3 June 2018

A first imperious win for Ducati in a 1-2 for the team sees the five-time World Champion reign in Italy, with Rossi completing the rostrum.

Jorge Lorenzo (Ducati Team) has taken his first win in red as he led a 1-2 for the Ducati Team at Mugello, uncatchable and untouchable to cross the line over six seconds clear for his first victory since Valencia 2016 - and his seventh Italian GP win.
Andrea Dovizioso made it double podium glory for the Borgo Panigale factory as he took second, fending off a late charge from polesitter and crowd favourite Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP).

The ‘Doctor’’s podium finish was another history maker in a milestone day at Mugello as the rider from Tavullia became the first to get more than 5000 premier class points, meanwhile Championship leader and reigning Champion Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team), crashed and remounted but failed to score.
