Lewis Hamilton capitalises on Sebastian Vettel's first-lap drama in Singapore
Marina Bay          [17 September 2017]

Lewis Hamilton survived a chaotic and rain-hit Singapore Grand Prix to win and claim a 28-point lead over title rival Sebastian Vettel, who was involved in a dramatic crash at the start.

Hamilton's title rival Sebastian Vettel was involved in a dramatic incident with Ferrari teammate Kimi Raikkönen and Red Bull's Max Verstappen on the run into the first corner which saw the trio all retire from the race.

For the third straight year Daniel Ricciardo finished second leading home Valtteri Bottas in the second Mercedes.

Raising the stakes: fearless Márquez equalises at Misano
Misano, 10 September 2017

Parity at the top as the number 93 takes win number four in the wet – going equal on points with Dovizioso.

Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda Team) took his fourth win of the year in a high stakes duel at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, with the conditions torrential and the top three in the title fight lining up for the challenge on the front row.

But as the spray cleared, it was Danilo Petrucci (Octo Pramac Racing) just ahead of the reigning Champion on track as the two dueled - and Márquez pounced on the last lap for another 25 point haul.

That gives the number 93 the Championship lead once again as Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team) came home third, with the two rivals equal on points and equal on wins - and Márquez ahead by virtue of more second places.

Lewis Hamilton takes title lead with easy Monza win
Monza          [3 September 2017]

Lewis Hamilton led home an easy Mercedes one-two at the Italian Grand Prix to take the lead of the championship for the first time in 2017.

Hamilton led every lap bar those immediately after his pit stop, converting his record 69th career pole into a win which takes him three points clear of Vettel in the championship.

Teammate Bottas finished second having passed Lance Stroll and Esteban Ocon early on as Mercedes turned in a dominant performance more reminiscent of the first three years of the V6 turbo era. The win also made Hamilton the first driver to claim back-to-back victories in 2017.
