Vettel extends championship lead over Hamilton with Monaco win
 Monte Carlo          [28 May 2017]

Sebastian Vettel took Ferrari's first win on the streets of Monte-Carlo since 2001 with a comfortable drive to victory at the Monaco Grand Prix ahead of teammate Kimi Raikkönen.

The win extends his lead in the championship to 25 points over Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton, who started 13th on the grid and recovered to seventh in an afternoon of damage limitation.

Vettel was shuffled ahead of Raikkönen during the pit stops, after Ferrari dropped the Finn into traffic following his one and only tyre change while Vettel was allowed to make up time in clear air.

Last lap drama and a huge Championship shake up as Viñales pushes the ‘Doctor’ to his limits.

The first Movistar Yamaha duel of the season saw Maverick Viñales the man to take the stunning 500th win for Yamaha after a clash of the titans at Le Mans– with the tremors from the French GP felt throughout the Championship standings as the dust settles.

With both Yamahas dueling on the last lap, the number 46 dramatically slid out of contention from behind his teammate to lose the Championship lead – and join Repsol Honda Team’s Marc Marquez on the list of those leaving Le Mans empty handed.

Lewis Hamilton beats Sebastian Vettel in thrilling Spanish GP battle
Catalunya          [14 May 2017]

Lewis Hamilton caught and passed Sebastian Vettel to win a thrilling Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona and reduce his championship deficit to six points after five rounds.

After racing each other by proxy for the first four grands prix, Hamilton and Vettel finally went wheel-to-wheel for the lead in Spain and the resulting race did not disappoint. The race swung back and forth between the two, with Vettel beating Hamilton off the line before Mercedes brought Hamilton back into the race on an alternate strategy.

Hamilton still had to do his passing on the track, however, and did so on lap 44 with a move around the outside of Turn 1. Six laps earlier the pair had banged wheels as Vettel emerged from his first pit stop alongside Hamilton, but both drivers were happy to joke about the incident after the chequered flag. It was also a race in which Mercedes and Ferrari both lost a car to retirement, allowing Daniel Ricciardo to take third for Red Bull despite finishing 72 seconds off the pace of the front two.

Repsol Honda rider makes history once again – with a first podium for Lorenzo at Ducati

Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda Team) took an impervious victory in his home Gran Premio Red Bull de España, storming away from his first pole position since Sepang 2015 and never looking back. The MotoGP™ race in Jerez was race number 3000 in the World Championship and one of the riders equal third on all-time podiums proved a fitting winner.

Reigning Champion Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda Team) made inroads in the points battle in second, ahead of a stunning home ride from another five-time World Champion – Jorge Lorenzo (Ducati Team), sharing the podium with Pedrosa to keep the parity at 146 rostrum finishes apiece for the former nemeses.
