Rossi romps to 113th career victory
Jerez, 24 April 2016

The Gran Premio Red Bull de España saw Valentino Rossi lead from start to finish, winning from Lorenzo and Márquez with ease.

All weekend the leading three were in a league of their own. Rossi, Lorenzo and Márquez had filled the top three spots of almost every practice session and lined up next to each other on the front row of the grid. The three biggest names in MotoGP™ were alongside each other once more and everything in practice had indicated that there was almost nothing to choose between them. As is typical of the Spanish GP, the grid was packed with mechanics, guests and officials but the riders did their best to block it out and run through their race plans.

Nico Rosberg wins chaotic Chinese Grand Prix
Shanghai          [17 April 2016]

Nico Rosberg's winning streak continued at the Chinese Grand Prix with a third straight victory of the season as Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton had to settle for seventh.

But the race behind Rosberg was far from boring, with carnage at the first corner creating a mixed up order that delivered wheel-to-wheel battles until the chequered flag. After hitting team-mate Kimi Raikkonen at the start, Sebastian Vettel dropped to 15th before mounting a comeback drive with a damaged front wing to finish second. Daniil Kvyat drove a solid race to third to take Red Bull's first podium of the year.

Márquez marches to fourth Austin win as Rossi crashes out
Austin, 10 April 2016

Marc Márquez took little notice of a number of falls behind, cruising to a fourth win in Texas ahead of Lorenzo and Iannone.

All eyes were on Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda Team) as the MotoGP™ World Championship lined up at the head the grid for the Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas. The Spaniard went into the race with a perfect record on America soil; winning every MotoGP™ race he had started in the United States. While Márquez was quietly confident, there were a number of riders who were looking to return to the front once more.

Rossi: “I had big problems with the rear tyre”
Rio Hondo, 3 April 2016

Falls ahead of him promote Valentino Rossi to second after a race long podium challenge in Argentina.

The opening laps of the Gran Premio Motul de la República Argentina had a distinct air of familiarity about them: Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda Team) followed closely by Valentino Rossi. Márquez was unable to shake the determined Italian who remained on his tail until the pair pitted on lap 11 for the mandatory pit stops. Unfortunately Rossi’s race challenge would end here, his second Yamaha M1 not producing anywhere near the same feeling as his first bike, despite the setting being identical. Each Grand Prix motorcycle is a hand craft piece of art, even the smallest of differences having a significant impact on the best riders in the world’s performance.

Nico Rosberg beats Kimi Raikkönen to victory in Bahrain
BIC          [3 April 2016]

Nico Rosberg won the Bahrain Grand Prix to take his second win in as many races this season as Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton recovered to third after a first corner collision.

The Ferrari of Kimi Raikkönen split the two Mercedes despite a poor start, while Sebastian Vettel failed make the start due to an engine problem. Raikkonen put up a spirited fight to finish 10.2s shy of Rosberg, but the Mercedes' lead was never really under threat, with Hamilton a further 19.8s down the road in his crash-damaged Mercedes. The result gives Rosberg a 17 points advantage in the standings and his fifth victory in a row.
