Motorland, 27 September 2015

Jorge Lorenzo takes his sixth win of the season ahead of Dani Pedrosa and championship rival Valentino Rossi as Marc Márquez crashes out.
Movistar Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo rode brilliantly to secure his 60th career GP victory in front of 67,000 fans at the Gran Premio Movistar de Aragón. Repsol Honda’s Pedrosa was involved in an excellent fight with Rossi over the final few laps for the second step of the podium at MotorLand Aragon. Eventually Pedrosa would beat Rossi to the line by just a tenth of a second, while his teammate Marc Márquez crashed out of the race.

Lewis Hamilton beats Nico Rosberg to victory at Suzuka
Suzuka          [27 September 2015]

Lewis Hamilton extended his lead in the drivers' standings to 48 points with victory at the Japanese Grand Prix after team-mate Nico Rosberg came off worse in a first corner battle between the two. Hamilton's eighth victory of the season was also the 41st of his career, equalling his hero Ayrton Senna's career record.

Rosberg started on pole, but a quick start for Hamilton saw the two Mercedes drivers wheel-to-wheel through Turn 1 before Rosberg got edged wide in Turn 2. It was a bold but fair move by Hamilton that left Rosberg out on the exit kerb and dropped him down to fourth. Rosberg then had to fight past Valtteri Bottas and Sebastian Vettel to secure second place at the chequered flag.

FIA upholds Lewis Hamilton's Monza win after tyre investigation
Monza          [6 September 2015]

The FIA has upheld Lewis Hamilton's Italian Grand Prix victory after an investigation into Mercedes' tyre pressures.

The pressures on the left rear tyres of the cars of Hamilton and Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg were found to be under the minimum value - by 0.3 PSI and 1.1 PSI respectively - when the FIA conducted a spot test on the top four cars on the grid on Sunday. As a result, the validity of Hamilton's victory was subject to a stewards investigation, which lasted three hours before a decision was finally reached. After speaking to the team, its Pirelli engineer and FIA technical delegate Jo Bauer it was decided Mercedes had done nothing wrong within the current regulations and therefore the win would stand.
